In recent years, there is a speed development of fly-bird tie arch bridge in China. The fly-bird tie has been a main form of arch bridge. This paper is based on the Jiangcheng Bridge project. We. finish project with high quality through the way that discover and analysis problems first and then resolve the problems. Take advantage of the large-scale universal space finite element analysis program Midas Civil, this paper gives a buckling analysis of fly-bird tie arch bridge within linear elasticity and makes an initial exploration of performing combination apse line on the fly-bird tie arch bridge.Arch axis is the ridgepole of arch bridge and it shows the combination of power and beauty. In the process of designing the Jiangcheng Bridge, based on the calculation of second-degree parabola arch axis and catenary arch axis we find that it is hard to get a best result of vault and arch springing together, so we utilize the combination line of catenary axis and second-degree parabola axis to resolve this problems and get the ideal effect. Although this combination line has its limitation and lacks the confirmation in both theory and real project, it is simple and practical in real project and also gives an innovative way in selecting the arch axis.Based on the finite element model of Jiangcheng Bridge, we make the stability analysis of structures with Midas Civil and get the different structure stability factors in different working condition. And then we discuss the effect of rib leaning angle in structure stability. The analysis results shows that arch rib leaning angle can affect the linear stability factor, but choosing a proper leaner angle needs a general comparison in real project.Most accidents of bridge happened in the construction stage, so construction monitoring is the important stage. It can guarantee the stress rationale and construction safety. Utilizing the data analysis of every construction stage in time and revise the error in construction, monitoring also can make the bridge line shape and structure stress to comply with the standard. Overall effective construction monitoring not only guarantees the safety, but also obtains much valuable data. It produces an advantage for further analysis and project practice.
