With the development of the society, bridge structure does not only satisfy the function of traffic but also is a structure of an artwork in the society. Bridge style becomes more varied because people pay more attention to bridge aesthetics. Some novel special-shape arch bridge have been coming to people base on the traditional arch bridge. Generally speaking, compared with the traditional arch bridge, the special-shape arch bridge pursue the visual beauty but sacrifice the rationality of the structure. It masks the bridge design more reasonable that find a balance between mechanics and aesthetics of bridge structure.His paper take Shuang Kou Mian Zhi Qu 1# Highway bridge in Harbin as its engineering background to study the overall layout of f diagonal-span arch bridge and deduce the analytical solution of critical load for lateral stability of diagonal-span arch bridge. This paper verified the analytical solution through the finite element model built by midas, then investigated the shear lag effect of the flat steel box girder of steel arc bridge.The specific contents of this paper are following:(1) Discussed the overall layout of diagonal-span arch bridge. Compare the impact of different hanger's layout on diagonal-span arch bridge.(2) After summarizing and refining the circular arch out plane critical loads calculation methods proposed by previous work, this paper deduced the formulation of rolling critical loads for single-rib diagonal span arch bridge. Based on this formulation, use finite element software midas to study and verified the parameters of Shuang Kou Mian Zhi Qu 1# highway bridge.(3) After systematically introduced the analysis methods of shear lag effect, this paper study the impact of middle web plate on flat steel box girder's shear lag, solve the design problem for web plate, and study the shear lag effect patterns.The conclusion and patterns gained form this paper could be used as reference for the design of this bridge, it could also provide reference for the design of similar girder...
