Nowadays, the energy resource is in short supply. A second generation of energy systems is built in all the industry developed countries. They are striving with the fastest speed into a distributed energy age. The micro gas turbine, fuel cells, gas engines, all kinds of circulating fluidized bed boilers etc are continuously put into production and application. Other traditional equipments are continuously improved and changed into cogeneration. These solid foundations are laid for the establishment of the second generation systems. Micro gas turbine is light, durable, low polluting, noise and cost of operating. Therefore, micro gas turbine employed in the distributed energy supply system is much more competitive than other power equipments.In this paper, the distributed energy supply system of the mechanical and electrical building in Dalian Maritime University was transformed and the Project design was studied. Firstly, the index method commonly used in the early age of the engineering design was employed to calculate its cooling heating and power load. The data are as follows:the power load is 387.3lkW, the cooling load is 574.96kW and the heating load is 434kW. Secondly, based on the calculated cooling heating and power load, the Project was designed and the equipment was selected. The gas turbine and the internal combustion engine were employed as the power respectively. The gas turbine-exhaust gas based, the gas turbine-steam based, the internal combustion engine-exhaust gas based and the internal combustion engine-steam based absorption distributed energy supply systems were respectively designed. In total, there were 4 projects. Thirdly, the economy, primary energy ratio and affected by fuel prices etc in the 4 projects are compared. Finally, comparing with the three projects, the micro gas turbine-exhaust gas based system is superior.Eventually, the micro gas turbine model was established. The operation law in different operating conditions can be obtained by analyzing the states of the system.
