The deformation caused by shear deformation have a small proportion of the total deformation of structure when it is on elastic state, but have a large proportion when it is on elastic-plastic state especially for the joints which don't be checked for their seismic shear or endure high ratio of shear force to concrete compressive force.Beam-column Joint deformation contains shear deformation and slip of longitudinal reinforcement passing through joint. But in this paper shear deformation is mainly taken into account, and slip of longitudinal reinforcement passing through joint is considered just by modifying its rigid matrix of the joint shear element when its effect is important. At present, joint is generally considered rigid when we have a analysis and calculation on seismic shear of joint. In fact, the absolute rigid joint is impossible; especially when joint is endure the effect of seismic forces. So it is very important to consider the effect of joint shear deformation on structure. In this paper, the resilience model between joint shear force and joint shear deformation is established on the base of the model of Tekeda and Clough. Four factors that axial compression ratio% shear compression ratio and hoop reinforcement ratio are considered in the model of joint shear deformation, and establish the calculation formula of rigid matrix in every stage of Joint shear deformation. For the above resilience model of joint element, the article uses a Nonlinear Static time-history analysis on a frame structure by the finite element analysis software of SAP2000, at last, obtains the top displacement and the interstory drifts angle.(1)In this paper, establish the resilience model between joint shear force and joint shear deformation and the calculation formula of joint parameters, and which is applied in chapter IV which defines the joint spring.(2)The first attempt to apply this joint "macro model" to the overall frame. And the calculation method of axial stiffness of the spring in this "macro model" is proposed in this page.(3)The article uses a time-history analysis on two frame structures of joint shear deformation and no joint shear deformation by the software of SAP2000. The calculation results have been got by changing the maximum seismic acceleration parameters and the joint parameters. The comparative analysis show that the Software results and the law above mentioned of various factors of joint shear deformation is essentially the same.(4)The impact of joint shear deformation on the overall frame depends on the Seismic level. The effect will be increased with the increasement of the earthquake.
