This paper analysis and research the physical index and pavement performance of broken gravel asphalt mixture in Sichuan mainly through the laboratory test and theoretical analysis method, using three gradations.First, the research of physical indexes shows that crushed gravel asphalt mixture physical indicators has good correlation with oil-stone ratio. With the oil-stone ratio increased gradually, voids in mineral aggregate was parabolic trends, porosity and water absorption decreased gradually, asphalt saturation and asphalt absorption increased gradually; gradation finer, the bigger bulk volume relative density asphalt absorption,the smaller porosity, voids in mineral aggregate, water absorption and the change in volume index of the sensitivity of aggregate ratio is smaller. Recommended grading for the project is AC-16F2.Secondly, the research on pavement performance of the mixture which is formed of natural sand and gravel crushing indicates that dynamic stability,45min deformation,60min deformation, the strength of the freezing and thawing are relevant to oil-stone ratio.And with the oil-stone ratio gradually increasing, DS decreases, TSR and the deformation increases. Flexural strength has the weak sensitivity to changes of oil-stone ratio. Increase 0.4% of the PA-1 asphalt anti-stripping Agent, freeze-thaw splitting strength has been significantly improved, and summarizes the climate district which pavement performance of the mixture of broken gravel adapts to.Finally, the mixture of broken gravel pavement performance comparison study found, broken gravel and crushed sand mixed with the mixture of its high temperature stability and low temperature cracking, broken gravel and natural sand blending the mixture at low temperature crack resistance are to meet the specification requirements of the Sichuan region, and water stability are not met, and recommend the use of cationic surfactant class of anti-stripping agent. For natural sand and gravel crushing and blending the mixture formed by limestone and basalt below the DS, the damage should be changed close to the limestone, the only difference of 12.98%; to add anti-stripping agent, the TSR closer to the mixture of basalt and When the aggregate ratio increased to 5.5, the TSR have been more than the basalt, limestone 9.80%,4.03%.By the laboratory test and the analysis of theory, this paper mainly uses three gradation in Sichuan area matching broken gravel asphalt mixture of physical index and road with properties of the in-depth analysis and research.The completion of this subject has very important reference value for the application of broken gravel in the nationwide and the pavement design, engineering construction in Sichuan and other regions, especially the changing rule between physical index, high temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance, water stability of broken gravel and oil-stone ratio, climate partition table about pavement performance, climate partition which broken gravel mixture is used by the highway,and recommended engineering level which are put forward by the subject have important guiding significance for engineering practice.
