Research On The Application Of Chinese Traditional Cloth Art In Modern Indoor Soft Adornment

In recent years, people don't want their home decoration be permanent and common, but more fashionable and unique. As a result, cloth decoration, which satisfies people's needs, emerged. Comparing to other decoration, cloth is strongly decorative, diverse, cheap, simple, causal, and easy to clean and change.In today's decoration market, cloth decoration has lots of styles:classic, modern, rural and traditional. And the Western style dominates the market. After comparing with Western style, I realized that although our traditional cloth decoration has long history, diverse styles and unpretending colors, it is still a newly sprouted thing and needs to be improved. We can find the spring of domestic cloth decoration from ancient china. In ancient china, the cloth decorations have already been applied to people's daily life.This paper summarizes the features of cloth art in different period of history by using large amount of historical examples. At the same time, paper also tries to find out the reasons and discipline for the change of Chinese traditional cloth art. In order to improve the application of Chinese traditional cloth art in people's life, the author summarized the research findings in the area of modern indoor decoration. By comparing these valuable findings, the author not only draws a lesson from the essence of Chinese traditional cloth art and merit of outstanding cloth art decoration works at home and abroad but also figures out a way to combine the elements of Chinese traditional cloth art and modern indoor decoration. A new decoration method and discipline has been designed which enable Chinese traditional cloth art merge with current market and close to our lives. Hopefully, the paper could bring fresh air to the modern cloth soft adornment.
