As people's request of landscape and the strengthening of environmental protection consciousness. the traditional slope protection method cannot satisfy the requirement of people. Adopt the technology of embankment slope vegetation protection not only can improve the stability of roadbed slope. but also can repair the damaged ecological environment. As an engineering technology. Combine embankment slope vegetation protection technology and engineering slope protection as a protective organic union, and ensure slope stability at the premise of improving peripheral environment, has become the embankment slope protection engineering main research topics.This paper combines the domestic and international research achievements and research material. It also summarizes roadbed protection technology plant type for rock slope and soil slope, meanwhile it expounds the current embankment slope vegetation protection technology. In this paper we make qualitative analysis to the embankment slope vegetation protection mechanism from the root mechanics effect and hydrological effect.According to the advantages of slope vegetation protection technology for subgrade in improving landscape and recovering ecological environment. we studied the vegetation growth of soil mass permeability promote increased its limitations of groundwater circulation. Then we draw the conclusion that USES engineering protection and plant protection combination of comprehensive slope protection type can compensate for lack of each other, and highlight the advantages of safety. At last we discussed the comprehensive protection requirements of roadbed slope. principles, and necessity.Finally, this paper combined with engineering example Helan area cutting slope protection. According to the Helan area dry and windy sandy climate, special geographical position and rocky mountain, we adopted gush seeds raw way mainly in slope protection. And the construction technology and protective effect were introduced.
