At the productive site of the asphalt mixture, aggregate's gradation is only unilateral control of feed rate according to each of the silo instead of rapid detection, that may lead to the deviation of the actual gradation and the designing gradation which makes the mechanical properties and pavement's performance of the asphalt mixture degrade, and the designing requirements can not be met. Therefore, at the productive site of the asphalt mixture, the real-time detection of aggregate's gradation, which can accurately control feed rate of various silo according to the designing gradation, makes the actual gradation closer to the designing gradation.The technology of real-time detection of aggregate gradation to the production site of the asphalt mixture will be applied in the article. First of all, by comparing and analyzing the experimental results of different schemes, a conclusion that the overall structure of the optimal solution and determines the required linear camera, infrared-laser light source, digital image capture card, programs of background is drawn. At the same time, the usage of the collection system is illustrated. Secondly, a method of removing shadow from the image is introduced in the paper, which solves the problem of the shadow of the image by changing the structure and the usage to improve the quality of the image. Thirdly, according to the partition of different modules, respectively, the overall architecture designing of the system of the real-time detection and elaborates the functions of each module are described in detail. Finally, to collect image and to save image are achieved in the environment of the VC++ 6.0 integrated development. In order to improve the efficiency of collection software, by comparing of the non-timer, the timer program and multi-thread program, the function of acquisition software of the real-time detection of aggregate gradation is improved further.
