A prototype of super capacitor parallel hybrid electric car with electric dual-clutch, ISG motor is described in this paper. A vaccum pump with two power source, electric air condition and electrical power steering are added in this car. An electrical throttle is substitued for the traditional mechanical throttle. And main parameters of the engine control are calibrated.Several driving cycles are selected for analyzing. The power and energy requirements of idle process, acceleration process and deceleration process are listed and compared. The performance of the key parts is evaluated in this car. The results of the above-mentioned are the base of the control design and optimization for the hybrid electrical car.The drive cycle of the vehicle is divided strictly and the torque between engine and ISG motor is distributed carefully. After a lot of experiments, entry parameters and control parameters for each driving cycle are optimized. The vehicle control model built in Matlab/Simulink is verified by off-line simulation.A Hardware-In-Loop experiment platform for the Electric Control Unit of the super capacitor car is developed and optimized. All of the data needed for the experiment are transmitted by one pair of line on the platform. The procedures for Hardware-In-Loop experiment are described in detail. An interface of the monitor and control software is developed. The initial boost torque map and the initial brake torque map for ISG motor is calibrated by this experiment in corporation with CCP calibration software. The control effects of this Electric Control Unit are verified by the Hardware-In-Loop simulation results finally.
