The disciPline of structure seismic design has develoPed less than 100 years,itexPerienced aPProximately three stages:static theory,resPonse sPectrtlm theory anddynamic analysis.Other new mcthods emerge in endlessly.At Present,thetime-history analysis mcthod as a numerical integration mcthod for solvingdifferential equations of motion has been widely aPPlied to the design ofhigh-rise andimPortant structures.It often needs to select a real recorded strong motion to rePresentthe effects of earthquakes on structures in seismic design and analysis.Due toearthquake'5 randomness and comPlexity of influencing factors,ground vibration 15often ever-changing,designers 15 confused by these recorded strong motions.Theexistence of such a situation greatly limits the widely and effectively aPPlication oftime-history analysis method.A number of scholars have done considerable researchwork,ProPose a variety of election-wave mcthod,but the results of these studies 15difficult to form a system and achieve in a comPuter.In this PaPer,the main Points of seismic design 15 described firstly,on this basis,the relationshiP bctween seismic designofstructuresandseismicinPutgroundmotion15 introduced.Then,it Presents resPonse sPectrtlm design theory.With the VBProgramming,more than 1600 Pairs ofrecorded strong motionsaresPectralanalysisand Fas,Fourier Transformed,the maximum power factorβmax,excellent cycleTp canbe obtained rrom it.Accordingto the Tp,the sites of seismi。records are classioed.After that,this PaPer describe the mcthod of dynamic elastic time-history analysis,including the method of seismic resPonse equations ofthe numerical analysis.On thisbasis,inPut the recorded strong motions to a model which 15 established by TAT.Thebottom shear can be obtain using time-history analysis and modal decomPositionmcthod resPectively.According to"Technical sPecification for concrete structures oftall building"(JGJ-2002)and the requirements Presented in this PaPer,selects strongground motion records.In order to achieve the virtual sPace,this article Will link theseismic record database to the virtUal sPace of Hangzhou,in order to achieve theintegration of seismic design..
