Based on expansion and excellent thermal insulation properties of industial vermiculite properties, high-performance flexible expanded vermiculite and expanded vermiculite insulation energy-saving materials were prepared.Through the using of electric heating,microwave heating,chemical and microwave chemistry methods prepare expanded vermiculite, exfoliation rate quality and bulk density changes of expanded vermiculite under different conditions were studied. Obtain the optimal process parameters and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of different expansion methods; Dispose expanded vermiculite with mechanical stir, utilize sieve extraction rate to determine the level of its brittleness. Discussed the brittle differences of expanded vermiculite prepared under different expansion methods and different conditions, the optimum technical processing condition for preparing of high-performance flexible expanded vermiculite was obtained. Through using of gypsum,cement and the gelling properties of phosphate prepared the different types of expanded vermiculite energy-saving materials, which were prepared by thermal conductivity, strength and other performance tests, and discussed the optimum parameters of the preparation expanded vermiculite energy-saving materialsThe results showed that compared to electric heating method, expanded vermiculite prepared by microwave preparation with high exfoliation rate and low brittleness characteristic. When microwave power was 800W, heating 60s the exfoliation rate could attain to 4.54times, while the sieve extraction rate was lower than electric heating, which had lower brittleness. The sieve extraction rate of expanded vermiculite increased with the increasing of temperature,microwave power and the heating time, the higher brittleness. Microwave chemical method can not only preparede expanded vermiculite with higher exfoliation rate, but also had lower brittleness. The reason was that hydrogen peroxide molecules into the vermiculite layer, the microwave process vermiculite interlayer water and the rapid decomposition of hydrogen peroxide molecules in the vermiculite interlayer generate greater pressure to higher exfoliation, while the addition of hydrogen peroxide could play a the effect of softening and cooling to reduce the brittleness of expanded vermiculite. Obtained the optimum conditions of high performance flexible expanded vermiculite by experiment:30% concentration of hydrogen peroxide immersed 12h, microwave power 800W, and heating time was 90s. Successfully prepared the expanded vermiculite insulation energy-saving materials, when the expanded vermiculite/gypsum, cement and phosphate were 0.5,0.6 and 2.5, the preparation of energy-saving reached to its optimum value in thermal conductivity, strength and other performance.
