As is known to all that it's hard to repair the satellite when it has been sent to space. It's necessary to do testing for the satellite during its design with automatic test system. In order to discover and remedy of the trouble, electric performance should be monitored, and the compatibility of the electric interface shoule be checked out between every systems in the satellite.This thesis advances a design as small-satellite test platform. The framework, hardware and software of the test platform are designed. To fulfill the needs of development for samll-satellite, this test platform has a new open framework. To advance the system performance, the test modules are designed as individual units, and open bus is used in motherboard. The system hardware is composed of signal manage module, bus monitor module, PCM monitor module, counter module, data acquisition module, signal generator module and embedded computer module. The power supply, communication and working state can be monitored by this test platform. It also can export exciting signals. The FPGA is adopted to make control unit for every function module. So, the expanding of function modules becomes easy. Then, to ensure the real-time performance of the system, embedded computer with VxWorks system is adopted to make control module, and the data in system is transmitted by LVDS with 10Mbit/s.Test results show that the system runs well and meets all the functional and performance requirements, which means the system is designed reasonably.
