| With the steady economic development and the advance of people's living standard, air conditioning system has got more and more used, meawhile, air conditioning system needs to consume more and more electricity and thermal energy, and energy waste exists aslo. Air conditioning and ventilation (VAC) duct system's design plays an important role in improving the effective utilization of energy resources and reducing the waste of energy.In this paper the method of theoretical analysis and calculation are using.Three kinds of duct(galvanized metal pipe,inorganic glass fiber reinforced plastic pip- e,aluminum polyurethane composite pipe) are analyzed and compared.This topic is an energy saving retrofit about air conditioning duct of a lecture hall inside the office building in Gaizhou. In this paper four kinds of form of air conditioning duct are layout and use to instead of the old one , calculate the system resistance,and get the best duct layouy.After that economic analysis are used,and at last get the best program of the energy-saving.After the program of energy saving retrofit ,use the software of Airpak to simulation the indoor temperature and wind speed to verify the effect after trans- formation. Finally, energy saving retrofit of the fan, air duct insulation resistance, air leakage rate to achieve better operation.Based on the energy saving of the duct layout ,understanding the most useful air duct layout and the problem of system resistance. Have an further understanding about the materials of air duct.
