As continuous improvement of China's highway network engineering the number of various structural types of bridges makes a significant increase, among the selections in many small and medium span bridge in road works, simply supported-continuous system bridges are used widely owing to the advantages that combines the continuous girder bridge with simply supported bridge with low cost and good overall, bridge joints less, short building time, low cost for post-maintenance.Now common small and medium span highway simply supported-continuous bridge uses the joint form that is smaller size, a number of deficiencies of wet joint affect distribution of the internal force of such bridge and reasonable beautiful performance of the bridge. If increases the joint size it can be a reasonable adjustment on internal forces of the main beam to some extent, so that the stress state on the structure is closer to simply supported continuous beam bridge which is finished in the way of drop frame for one time. Because of abolition of the cap beam construction process, the casting wet section replaces the cap beam to support the load of superstructure and transfer it to the piers, which not only make full use of the large size of the cast joints, but also shorten the construction period and beautify the bridge.To make this type of bridge with the wider use and more rational internal force distribution, and increase appearance of this whole bridge structure this article introduces the new structure type design and take a four-span continuous T style bridge for example, by the finite element method to research and analysis suitable span, calculation method for lateral distribution coefficient, the internal force effect of new joint type on the main beam and the stress and deflection analysis of wet joint of the new structure type. At last, introduce design calculation and construction technology of experiment bridge to make this new structure type is used in practical engineering design.
