Reinforced concrete structure will be an important building in the present and future. In the long-term use of the process, large number of concrete structures in the world arefacing various degrees of the risk of damage or even collapse because of theenvironmental loads, fatigue effects and corrosion, which will make serious damage tothe national economy and people's lives and property and influence the seismicrestistance of reinforced concrete structures badly. Under the corrosion condition, concrete density inceases, the bond strength between reinforcement and concrete decases, the steel will expand because of corrosion product. As a result, the natural periodincreases and fatigue resistance of structure decreases. TTherefore, it is important foraccurately assessing the seismic performance to analysis the dynamic responseT ofreinforced concrete structure in corrosive under earthquake makeT TThe paper has finishedthe following work:First, according to the concrete corrosion mechanism and bond force change betweensteel and concrete, the paper analysised the influence of steel errosion on the bearingcapacity of reinforced concrete structures. At the micro, according to the temperatureexpansion of ring theory, an reinforced concrete column that experienced on-sitecorrosion was choosen to show the development process of concrete stress and injurychanges througth numerical analysis.Secondly, according to field corrosion test data, a single layer of reinforced concreteframe was studied to analysis the earthquake response under corrosion. To study howcorrosion influences the structural seismic performance, appropriate concrete stress-strainrelationship paper was selected based on experimental data and then we analyzed thevariation of natural vibration frequency, response spectra value, and the stress and injuryresponses with the change of corrosion condition.Again, the effectiveness of using solid element to simulate the dynamical responseof reinforced concrete frame structures under earthquake was checked. In the paper,ABAQUS and ANSYS were subject to a 12-story reinforced concrete frame structure toanalysis the seismic response including modal analysis and time history analysis. Modalanalysis was performed by using two softwares respectively to compare the top tennatural frequencies and mode shapes; Time history analysis was done to reach thedisplacement and acceleration response of each layer and then the outstanding periodswere also obtained with the help of zero-cross method analysis. Finally, as a conclusion, from the macro and micro the paper shows how corrosion influences the mechanical properties and the seismic performance of reinforced concretestructures. Besides, the paper the advantage and disadvantage of using solid element tosimulate the seismic response of reinforced concrete.
