Public Park Landscape Research Based On Health As A Design Principle

As time changes, the needs and understanding of health have undergone major changes and the new era of health has not only relate to the medical problems, but also to multiple aspects , such as physical, psychological, and social problems. The landscape design which based on health issue is people-oriented design; its ultimate objective is to promote people's health, so healthy landscape must become an important trend in the future landscape design. However, it becomes an urgent practical issue that how to introduce the concept of health to landscape design, promote effectively healthy life of the people, and finally create a healthy and vibrant outdoor environment.Park is an important carrier for daily outdoor activities. The open park designed based on health guidelines is the landscape space that is the center of people's health needs, and creates a lifestyle conducive to the health and physical rehabilitation. Therefore, the research on human health needs is the fundamental starting point. The paper analyzes the health status of the existing open park from three aspects of facility design Landscape, Landscape site design, green construction and also the health needs of people, summarizes some essential elements for healthy open park from the open design of the park facilities in the landscape space design based on theories, such as environmental psychology, environmental behavior, landscape ecology and urban open space theory, and using the literature review, survey research, theoretical summary method. Finally, the paper proposes guidelines for promoting mental health, physical health and social health by systematic analysis. And summaries design strategies of healthy landscape facilities, venues and ecological environment, based on health-promoting design principles of an open park.
