Karman vortex flowmeter since its inception in the late 60 century, after 40 years of development, has become a common flowmeter ranks. At home and abroad,vortex flowmeter has been developed to be a series of specifications and a full range of products, and its standardization work is also to be made. The vortex flowmeter makes the Karman vortex and thermal, ultrasonic, piezoelectric, strain, capacitance, magnetic, optical and other detection technology together to develop a variety of products. In recent years, the development of sensor technology, digital signal processing technology and communications technology, have play an important role in the development of the vortex flowmeter. Karman vortex flowmeter was so popular, mainly due to the following: No moving parts, and good linearity; Large Measurement range, and strong media adaptation, it can be used for different fluid precision measurement; Pressure loss is small, high reliability and easily maintenance; it is not sensitive to the changes in the physical properties of fluid. Karman vortex flowmeter can be the ideal flowmeter for measuring gas, liquid, steam and corrosive fluids.The main contents of research are as follows: At first, through the analysis of the literature, and the development of the products, to identify the needs of vortex flowmeter; Second,Study the principle of vortex flowmeter, vortex generating body and vortex detection method to develop the technical details of the vortex flowmeter; Third, do study the of the selected vortex flowmeter, give out detailed structural design; The final, test the flowmeter performance.The main results of thesis: completed mathematical modeling of insertion type vortex flowmeter, establish mathematical models for flow measurement; completed the hardware Structure design and test circuit design, competed the sample of insertion type ultrasonic flowmeter; complete the performance testing of insertion type ultrasonic vortex flowmeter , and achieved the desired results.The paper has a good value in engineering to develop a new type of flowmeter of company; and the same time, it have a certain significance to development of small-diameter insertion type vortex flowmeter.
