Doubly-fed generation has become the dominant form of wind power, but it needs to rely on the grid to start and grid-connection power, can't be in islanding operation. Therefore, doubly-fed wind power generation system using traditional control method can't be used in micro-grid. In order to solve this problem, this paper carries out the research of operation control and performance of islanding start and the islanding operation, which promote the application of doubly-fed generation in micro-grid and improve wind energy utilization.First, this paper describes the basic operating principles of DFIG (Double Fed Induction Generator). The mathematical model of DFIG is deduced in two-phase rotating coordinate by coordinate transformation. The relationship of energy balance within the generator is analyzed. All above are to lay a certain theoretical basis for this paper's research. Secondly, with the use of storage system, this paper researches the control strategy of doubly-fed wind power system's islanding starting and operation which is including idle load start and load start based on stator flux oriented, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two starting methods. The third, in order to improve the utilization of wind energy, this paper study the control strategy of the load-side and the rotor-side converter when the doubly-fed wind power system is in islanding operation, which achieve the decoupling control of stator active and reactive power independently and ensure voltage amplitude and frequency's stability of the load. In addition, this paper carries out the research of the capacity configuration of storage energy battery in islanding operation, and gives the calculation method. Simulation platform is built with the MATLAB software, which complete the simulation of the above-mentioned control strategy.This paper achieves digital control of the experiment with digital signal processor TMS320LF2407A DSP and completes software programming and debugging of islanding idle load and islanding load generation control. Finally, the experiment is done in laboratory 11 kW DFIG wind simulation system platform, simulation analysis and experimental results show the feasibility and correctness of the used control strategy.
