A new type of electrolyte materials ((CeO2)x(Sc2O3)11-x(ZrO2)89)used in solid oxide fuel cell is prepared by the co-precipitation and sol-gel method in this paper. And the powder that is prepared by the different preparation methods and experimental conditions is compared in the grain size, morphology and sinter performance.Particle size distribution is homogeneous, when ammonia is used as precipitation agent. However, reunion phenomenon is observed, particle size constantly grow up with the increase of solution concentration, and the overall particle size distribution drift to the big particle direction, when ammonium hydrogen carbonate is used as precipitation agent. The result shows the main diffraction peak slightly drifts to the low angle, and the crystal phase constantly changes with the increase of the content of x, when the electrolyte powder ((CeO2)x(Sc2O3)11-x(ZrO2)89 )is detected by XRD. pH value, regulator and dispersant affect power crystal phase, morphology and particle size. The result shows monocline phase is observed, when ammonia is used as pH regulator. And particle size is smaller and smaller and particle size distribution is more and more homogeneous with the increase of pH value, when ethylenediamine is used as pH regulator. And particle size became more and more big with the increase of dispersant, however, dispersant do not effect crystal phase.Object crystal phase is pure cubic phase, and the main diffraction peak is stronger and stronger with sinter temperature rising, when sinter object that is prepared by co-precipitation method is studied from XRD and SEM. And the object shows good sinter performance, when the sinter temperature reached 1600℃.The sinter object crystal phase is pure cubic phase, no impurity peak and shows good sintering performance, when sinter object which is prepared by sol-gel method is studied from XRD and SEM. The study shows addition amount of dispersant seriously affects the sinter performance, and sinter object shows poor sinter performance when dispersant is 10wt%.The result shows the sinter temperature affects ceramic shrinkage, crystallization degree and crystallite size, when the object is sintered in different sinter temperature. The ceramics shrinkage become more and more big, grain become more and more large and crystallized degree is more and more better with sintering temperature rising.
