High-speed rail bearing is the important running support component of the rail vehicle,the precision, lifetime, reliability and other indicators of the high-speed rail bearing play an important part in the performance and security of the high-speed vehicle. Thus, each performance parameter of the high-speed rail bearing is to be examination tested. The research purpose of this paper is to design a kind of test rig which can test the property of the high-speed rail bearing, The test rig can simulate the driving mode of the rail vehicle furthest, and test the durability of the high-speed rail bearing. The main research contents are listed as follows:The development of the bearing test rig was analyzed at home and abroad, the overall design of this system was confirmed on the basis of the function and technical requirement of the high-speed rail bearing test rig. The mechanical system of the test rig was designed based on the simulation mode property of the test rig, the tested bearing, main shaft, and driving system was mainly designed, and the design of three-dimensional CAD model of the test rig was accomplished. According to the test requirement ,the loading system of the test rig was designed.This paper establishes the finite element model of main shaft in the test rig for high-speed railway bearing. Utilizing the finite element analysis software ANSYS, the modal analysis for main shaft was carried on. Preliminary determination is that main shaft resonance occurs, and in order to avoid resonance, structural optimization were carried out by increase first natural frequency and reduce weight of main shaft, The results show that the position of support bearings was determined,the first natural frequency was increased by reducing main shaft weight,the dynamic performance of the main shaft were improved, and avoid the resonance region effectively. Based on the ANSYS, the key parts were done finite element static analysis of the structure by means of the optimized data, which both satisfied the design requirement and verified the security of the structure.
