Reclaiming land from the sea by building dykes is building a certain height, enclosed cofferdam in beach of sediment deposition faster , and filling a certain range ofwaters in sediment or earth-rock to form the land . Pile foundation is mostly used by thebuildings on the ground, but the joint action of pile and soil on this very specialfoundation is rarely researched. In order to do futbure research on theory of the jointaction on reclaiming land and service to engineering better, this paper bases on thetheory of interaction and combines with a pile foundation engineering example oncircumference of Shenzhen to further research the bearing and deformation from twoaspects of theoretical study and numerical simulation. Some conclusions are obtained.First of all,it is necessary to study the interaction of piles and soil on the specialfoundation after understanding the ways of forming land by building dykes andstrengthening ground-launched.Secondly, analyzing theoretically the bearing and deformation characteristics ofbearing and deformation of single pile under system of the joint action. Besides thepaper simulates different pile length, pile diameter and soil which influence theload-carrying properties and settlement of the single pile and draw a conclusion thatincreasing pile length, pile diameter and soil modulus of elasticity all can improve theultimate bearing capacity of the single pile, reduce subsidence. That lays a foundationfor the subsequent group of piles. Finally, the paper utilizes finite element software to program the nonlinear finiteelement analysis of bearing capacity and settlement and deformation characteristics ofgroup of piles on land from the sea by building dykes. And then,it is analyzed andcompared for load transfer mechanism and regularity, share ratio, settlementdeformation characteristics .The influence factors of bearing capacity and settlement are aslo analyzed. The analyzing come to a conclusion that increasing pile length and spacecan improve the ultimate bearing capacity, and that the longer piles are, the lower theload bearing is.
