Rural inns offer sightseeing, recreation, accommodationand food service as an new emerging leisure tourism form. Because of relatively cheap price, easing stress, closing to nature, escaping from the noise of urban life temporarily, Rural Tourism quickly became popular in the country. The rise of "Rural Tourism", not only increases rural population's income, but also promote rural economy, adjust the industrial structure and improve the living environment. According to the Eleventh Five-year Plan and the Twelfth Five-year Plan, Rural Tourism has turned to be an effective method of building new countryside. The development of Rural Tourism has obviously become a booster of the new socialist rural construction.In the developing process of Rural Tourism, quite a few problems appear.Such as blindly following suit, pattern similar, jumping type development, lackness of scientific and unified planning etc.. From the landscape design level, some Rural Tourism projects just provide people a place with eating farmers meal and staying in farmers'house, without any landscapes; And some Rural Tourism project do not pay attention to local characteristics, fail to effectively use the surrounding landscape such as streams, hills and other natural landscape, or even destroy the ecological environment, causing damage to rural landscape, losing connotation of history and culture, etc. Hence sensible and scientific Rural Tourism landscape planning and design is in urgent need.The author believes that, the real charm of Rural Tourism lies in "ecological" and "healthy" philosophy of life, offering urban people a return to nature, close to nature and getting relaxation and cheerful spirital experience. In the specific design gimmick, the main line should be garden landscape, the subline be sightseeing agriculture. All of these should follow the principles: reasonable development, unified planning, outstanding features, participating experience. With combining the regional culture, natural resources and humane culture resources harmoniously, visitors will enjoy traveling fun and meanwhile, feeling culture. Such Rural Tourism has much more vitality.This article aims to analyze the current situation and shortcomings of Pingdingshan Rural Tourism through investigation, combined with related theories, landscape from functional configuration, spatial form, explore the landscape design pattern, through the theoretical verification and the thinking of rural landscape planning. After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of Pingdingshan "Rural Tourism" successful cases, the author puts forward her own design draft and concepts of reasonable inheritance and innovation in accordance with the rural tourism creative development.
