The mechanical property of electric motor is a basic testing, the testing has great significance to verify design principle, improve performance, produce production and other aspects. With the development of ultrasonic motors, there is tiny ultrasonic motor which applying to low-speed, small torque rotating environment. In this type of ultrasonic motor development process, it is necessary to get the mechanical characteristic curve of ultrasonic motor, thus verifying the design results, optimize the design, but the current test equipment can not meet the test requirements .This paper develop a test system which can use to test small rotary-type ultrasonic motor mechanical properties, and a small rotary-type ultrasonic motor is tested by using this system. Profile up, the main research contents are summarized as follows.1,The current situation of the low-speed, small torque motor mechanical properties testing is introduced. The small torque and rotational speed measurement methods are summarized and put forward a test system .2,Based on the ultrasonic vibration. The structure and characteristics of half-wave ultrasonic transducer is analyzed., The Langevin oscillator is designed by the step-shaped horn, and on this basis, the ultrasonic bearing is designed and assembled.3,The method of non-contact measurement is used to measure micro torque. Using the method of eddy current to achieve non-contact load on the motor, the torque measurement convert into force measurement. The value of force is read by the scale. The feasibility of the plan is verified. And the eddy current measuring torsion system is designed and manufactured.4,Using the method of virtual instruments to build the test platform, the platform software is written by Labview. The mechanical properties test system is constructed on the connection of speed torque testing systems and computer. the signal acquisition and data communications is completed.5,Do some experimental study for the test system, the leverage amplification factor is calibrated. The effect of anti-friction of ultrasonic bearing is tested, a certain small rotary-type ultrasonic motor mechanical properties is tested by the system, the ultrasonic motor mechanical characteristic curves is obtained.
