Twin-screw air compressor is a general mechanical product of great social demand .By the conventional motor drive, it uses a certain type of rotor in the chamber to deliver air. It is essential in the automotive service, building decoration and other industries. The use of twin-screw air compressor is at high growth in domestic and foreign markets. With the extending of applied range of twin-screw air compressor , it is developing on the direction of miniaturization and high pressure ratio.According to the development needs of twin-screw compressor, a high-speed mobile gas supply dry twin-screw air compressor that can using in motor vehicles tire inflation, supporting small mobile mechanical and electrical equipment, construction and fitting decoration is carried out. With the use of PRO / E, this thesis established a three-dimensional model of twin-screw compressor and finished the compressor's working process simulation by using FLUENT. Based on the research and analysis of internal flow problems for the compressor, this thesis put forward the corresponding improvements, then came to a program to meet the requirements of the compressor.Following is the main content of the paper. In chapter I,the signification and source of the project are introduced, as well as the research study at home and abroad, and the development of CFD software also the application of commercial software FLUENT.Chapter II describes the basic structure of twin-screw compressor and working principle , its using scope and future direction of development as well as the project's demand.Chapter III details of the twin-screw compressor rotor profile design and geometric characteristics of the calculation. Based on SRM-A type line ,the 3 twin-screw compressor specific geometrical parameters are derived by the use of the compressor flow rate formula. m3/min Chapter IV describes the mathematical model of curves and surfaces. And use PRO / E software to get 3D solid model of its main components. Then conducted into GAMBIT meshing.Chapter V describes the twin-screw compressor machine numerical simulation by FLUENT, then analyzes the velocity field, pressure field and temperature changes. In Chapter VI the paper are summarized and follow-up prospects are given.
