The method of vehicle formation in cruise section and predictive guidance law in reentry section are presented in the dissertation for hypersonic cruise vehicles, which are important tactical and technical methods for penetration and precision attack of vehicle respectively.To start with, the paper reviews the current research status and the tendency of hypersonic vehicle, vehicle formation and predictive guidance. Based on the characteristic of hypersonic cruise vehicles in the midcourse, the launch geocentric coordinate system and reentry coordinate system are built. A precise dynamic model is established in consideration of the centrifugal inertia force and Coriolis force.Moreover, based on the mathematics models, dynamic behavior of the vehicle is analyzed, in the mean time the formation requirement is also devised, which can described as the follower tracks the leader. In other words, the follower follows the trajectory of leader which is considered to be standard and also keeps a distance with the leader. Than, by analyzing the guidance law and the control law, a corresponding PID controller is presented, which gets the parameters by Z-N tuning method.However, the standard rail guidance method can't meet the automotive requirements in current situation, and other prediction guidance need large amount of calculation. Therefore, a prediction guidance called virtual displacement guidance is applied to the terminal guidance hypersonic cruise vehicle guidance, which is divided into two parts: 1) the prediction of impact ground location, 2) the search of optimallateral force. The analytic algorithms of the zero-lift trajectory equations are derived in detail. Because the total lift is always perpendicular to the velocity, the optimal direction of the lateral force for guidance can be searched by the Newton iteration method. The guidance instruction is obtained by the tra-ient equilibrium hypothesis on account of the direction of the lateral force. The performance of guidance is estimated by numerical simulation. Last but not least, numerical simulation is performed to analyze the guidance law, meanwhile boundary loop, amplitude limiting and amplitude switching are employed in the terminal stage to restrain the chattering. The result of simulation shows that the vehicle formation is perfect and the accuracy is guaranteed. This can demonstrate the formation method and the guidance law used in the paper is a practical way.
