Electric steering engine as a high-precision servo system, mainly used in aerospace and military and some other special occasions, BLDC motor has become the main driving force since its excellent performance and convenient control, However, because existing gear box that most of the electric steering has a strong nonlinear, this complex the control method, the result is not satisfactory, and system is larger but output torque is less. To solve this problem we propose a new power steering gear components-- Multi-motor steering system. In this paper, on the background of the Multi-motor apply in the electric actuator, the synchronous operation about some BLDC motor as the research object, using FPGA as the main controller, research and implement the multi-motor control linkage based on electric steering gear control system.Firstly, based on in-depth analysis the mathematical model of BLDC motor, construction of a single-axis servo system simulation model by MATLAB, verify and investigate the control strategy of electric steering gear,analyzing all aspects of electric steering gear system, choose the appropriate control algorithm.Secondly, on the basis of analyzing Single-axis BLDC motor electric steering system, construction of Multi-motor steering control system simulation model by MATLAB. Two control methods:Master-slave and cross-coupled will be analysised and this study provides a theoretical basis. Analysis of the structure of multi-motor and the impact of backlash on the system, look for a method to eliminate backlash.Finally, the hardware and software about multi-motor electric steering gear linkage system are designed in this paper, BLDC motor control system base on FPGA is main content, debug the experimental motor, and compare with theoretical analysis and the simulation results. Verify whether the system is designed to meet the demand, validate our proposed method to eliminate the feasibility of backlash.
