With the appearance of large-scale power systems,the structure and operation modes of modern power systems are increasingly complex and changeable, which increases the probability of systemic accidents and large area blackouts, while brings economic and convenient. Large-scale blackouts do great harm to the world economy. The traditional detection methods are effective, but also have their limitations. The introduction of dynamic security region provides a new approach to security assessment of power systems. Security assessment framework based on dynamic security region has been mature. Power systems have the influences of many uncertain factors. Based on probability, scientific and effective assessment of stability and safety on power systems is imminent.Based on the latest research results of the dynamic security region and probabilistic unsafe assessment index, the paper does the research of the probability of power system dynamic safety assessment. Firstly, the calculation function of probability unsafe indicator is collated and revised, and the simplified proposal of the index calculation is analyzed. Secondly, the model of power system probabilistic security assessment based on practical dynamic security regions is improved and perfected. Finally, a demonstration system of the probability of power system security assessment based on of dynamic security region on the application of new simplified algorithm is completed. The system has the function of analysis, sorting, storage and display on the base of probability of new probability insecurity indicator. Through the 4-11 example and large amounts of data, it shows that the demonstration system can show preliminarily the idea of probabilistic security assessment model based on practical dynamic security region. What's more, it has some practical value.
