In recent years, with the continuous development of economy and society and the accelerating process of urbanization, high-rise buildings continue to increase in city. Foundation engineering develops toward the large acreage, deep direction. The current problem about the most of the Foundations is groundwater. How to deal with the groundwater during excavation is concerned by more and more people. Water precipitation has become an important part in foundation pit. With the rapid development of computer technology, many complex issues include the problems of deep foundation ditch can be solved by correlative software.In this paper, we use two different kinds of numerical simulation software to simulate the foundation engineering of"He Huang", and compare the simulated results with the actual test data to prove this method right. Then solve problems which may appear in different working conditions. First, use software Visual MODFLOW to simulate the change of groundwater during the construction period of the foundation. Judge the groundwater flow has developed steady through the groundwater head which has been calculated by Visual MODFLOW. Secondly, we simulate the process of excavation by Plaxis2D to get the displacement of soil and supporting structure. Compare these data with actual ones in order to prove our method is reasonable. Finally, simulate different kinds of design proposal, and give the way to solve the problems which may be existed in the engineering project.Through this simulation, we believe that the Foundation will be more stable and safe when the confined aquifer has been cut off. However, sometimes it is hard to achieve because of the high construction cost or something else. In such a case, we need to pump confined water and make sure the surface settlement is under control.
