Owing to the rapid development of modern society, a design method by using texture feature of visual appears on the elevation design of contemporary buildings. And the way of this design gradually becomes trend. The trend to elevation design by using texture feature of visual in contemporary buildings exists for a long time. But the number of books about this trend was not very large. So the design theory about elevation design by using texture feature of visual in contemporary buildings was not completed. And very few people know this theory. In the circumstance, the research on elevation design by using texture feature of visual in contemporary buildings has used a lot of examples and a small amount of theory. Firstly, analyze the reason of the coming to the trend. And then, analyze the design principles, design method and the usage of this design in actual application. Finally, hope this trend to elevation design by using texture feature of visual in contemporary buildings will have even broader prospects. This research is the basis of the study. And the research in future can use today's achievements of study. However, the design method by using texture feature of visual of this trend is not an independent style or schools. And other design method or style can use this design in appropriate forms. Just as the texture which is the most direct physical media that can help people recognize different things they are looking at, the way of this design by using texture feature of visual is the most direct medium which offers people a fresh look at understanding what the contemporary building is. It requires people to analysis and research deeper.
