The lunar exploration history of human has been more than fifty years since Soviet sent the first satellite to the moon successfully in the middle of twentieth century. China has also launched the series of Chang'E satellites in the second lunar exploration wave of 21th century. In these years, the countries that sent lunar satellites have got a mass of lunar spatial data. The data of Chang'E are stored in the Chang'E project center of National Astronaumical Observitories, but the lunar scientists may come from anywhere. The first problem comes that how can these scientists get these spatial data quickly and conveniently. And, when it is important to make reference and compare to the data of other countries, that how can we manage and distribute these multi-source and multi-format data is the second problem.Facing to the above two problems, this paper makes a research on some crucial technologies in the sharing and distributing process of lunar spatial data, then designing and implementing the Lunar Spatial Data Translating System(LSDTS) and the Lunar Spatial Data Distributing System(LSDDS). The main work is detailed as follows:1. The catalog and management of the lunar spatial data. The management of the lunar spatial data is the basement of the sharing and distributing of the lunar spatial data. Firstly, the paper collected and analyzed our country and other countrys'lunar data; secondly, based on the features of the data the paper sorted these data; at last, the paper established the catalog model and storage model of the lunar spatial data;2. The design and implementation of the LSDTS. How to translate the lunar spatial data which are multi-sources and formats between different formats effectively is one important problem of the sharing of lunar spatial data. Based on GDAL the paper designed and implemented LSDTS with two models-desktop system and web system, providing 115 raster formats including PDS IMAGE, GEOTIFF etc. and 51 vector formats including PDS TABLE etc. The LSDTS has got a better effect in the practices and patent;3. The design and implementation of the LSDDS. Based on the feature and the catalog and storage model of the lunar spatial data, The paper designed and implemented LSDDS using WebGIS technology, which provides effective searching, browsing, and downloading the lunar spatial data. The LSDDS has been use in the practices.
