| This dissertation introduces the development, fabrication and the experiment results of spin-polarized electron collision apparatus (SPECA) generally. Specially, a detailed presentation of SPECA of Polarized Physics Lab of Tsinghua University is stated. The mainly measured variables are stokes parameters of the decayed spectrum which is emitted from the atoms that are collided by polarized-electron. Thus, theory about polarized-electron, spectroscopy and stokes parameters is presented particularly. The application of Liquid Crystal Variable Retarders (LCVR) simplifies the complication of operation. Through analysis of the prevenient experiment effect, the primary problem of this apparatus is the electronic-optic transmission system, the efficiency of electron transferring is too low, some discussions about simplification of transmission system, shortening of transferring path and enlarging of transferring hole diameter are made. In most experiments, stokes parameters are measured on a determined direction, this dissertation gives a design of how to measure stokes parameters through multi-angle. The polarization of electron can be determined by SPECA, measuring polarization of the electron which is produced by field-emission of nano-carbon tube is a combination of SPECA and new material. |
