The hydraulic system fault diagnosis technology became an international technical difficult problem, which is because of the diversity and uncertainty of hydraulic system failure. More and more hydraulic system fault diagnosis methods are spewing out in modern society with advanced scientific technologies increasingly, but efficiency of diagnosis is difficult to attain the certain ideal height.In this paper, the current diagnosis methods was analyzed after doing research on hydraulic system fault diagnosis technology, the hydraulic system is decomposed into a single module to be diagnosed by using the ideology of breaking large projects up into smaller, so as to improve the efficiency of the fault diagnosis. The diagnosis process was explained in detail by using fuzzy Petri nets for hydraulic pump module fault. The fuzzy Petri nets intelligent reasoning process was used for analyzing and identifying the causes and position of pump malfunction, and in order to idealize the nets parameters and improve the accuracy of diagnostic, the nets parameters are also optimized using the genetic algorithm.The concept of fuzzy proposition was introduced in the forming process of fuzzy Petri nets diagnosis model, and the fuzzy proposition served as a bridge between hydraulic pump failure and fuzzy Petri model duilding. this process began with hydraulic pump failure library turned into fuzzy life test, and then a suitable Petri nets pump failure fuzzy was constructed based on the corresponding relations between fuzzy proposition and fuzzy Petri.Finally, data acquisition card was used for the real-time parameter acquisition of hydraulic pump,the collected parameters was used as initial signs after being calculated. This process provides the judgement basis for fuzzy Petri reasoning .During the parameter selection process in fuzzy Petri nets, the parameter was optimized by genetic algorithms method in order to make it to some extent achieve the ideal value levels,and then the optimizing will improve the accuracy of fault diagnosis. In the process of the diagnosis software built, it is based on the LABVIEW software, such as the acquisition and analysis of hydraulic pump parameters, visualization interface. At the same time, it is based on MATLAB programming development to achieve, such as the intelligent diagnostic software reasoning.Hydraulic pump fault diagnosis software of this paper was used in the aspect of actual application test, and through the experimental inspection, the good effectiveness and the feasibility and practicability has been eventually proved.
