Research On Regionalized Expression Of Architectural Style Of Small Cities And Towns

In the new round of urbanization process, the small cities and towns in China while are impacted the world of contemporary modern"cultural convergence"are constructing a large number of modern buildings that are dubious and even run counter to traditional architecture. Regional characteristic of the small cities and towns are gradually decline or even die. The work of regional style on protection, and inheritance, and innovation is imminent. Therefore, study, and to sum up, and to induction, and to guide practice on the phenomenon of regionalized expression in small towns, is the arrangement and development of the regional architectural culture. That has a long and important realistic significance to protece national history and culture, and to construct urban buildings with regional characteristics.This paper takes the Southeast of Chongqing as an example. Its study based on the theory of Regionalism, and regional style and background of local culture of small towns in Southeast of Chongqing, and related practice analysis in this region. Finally, the paper put forward"the operational strategy of regional expression", and to want to obtain useful inspiration and to play a promoting role for regionalized expression of urban buildings in contemporary small cities and towns.The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter briefly explains the topic selection, background, related research status, object, research significance, methods, and research framework. Second chapter introduces the meaning and characteristics of Regionalism and regional architecture, contemporary related theory of regional architecture on style design, case practices, and combing practice ideas, etc. Third chapter briefly summarized the regional characteristic of traditional architecture in areas of Tujia which are in the Southeast of Chongqing. Fourth chapter takes the Southeast of Chongqing as an example, and specific describes the development of practice that small towns in this region protect or coordinate regional style, to explore how to implement the balance between"traditional"and"modern", and how to achieve reasonable regionalized expression of architectural style. Based on the practice response of regional characteristics crisis and promoting local culture in small cities and towns in Southeast of Chongqing, fifth chapter puts forward the author's views and suggestions studied on the technical routes, methods and strategies, for how to protect, inherit and innovative connotation and forms of Regional Architecture, and how to pay attention to the regional culture, and how to achieve regionalized expression of architectural style of small cities and towns. Finally, sixth chapter summarizes the contents of the whole thesis.In this paper, after researching regionalized expression of architectural style in small cities and towns in the southeast of Chongqing, the thesis puts forward the technical route to achieve"regionalized expression"—"Modernization of regional technology"Meanwhile, in the process of protection and development of urban style and features, there are two different ways to construct:"bottom-up"and"top-down". Mode of"bottom-up"requires policies to supervise and to support, and also needs constraints on technological paradigm,and craftsman cultivation."Bottom-up"mode can be the basis for sustainable style update. The approach of"top-down"has obvious advantages in enforcemen and effectiveness of style construction. This requires rigorous research and policy guidance, but also to avoid bringing about the potential negative effects in the rapid urban construction.
