Shanghai Tower is one of three high-rise buildings of Shanghai Pudong New districtPlanning and Development, is the last high-rise buildings starting construction ofLujiazui area(Jinmao Tower420.5m1998, World Financial Center497m2008),and isthe highest one. For these reasons, the Shanghai Tower’s importance is self-evident.Department of Civil Engineering,Tsinghua University, based on the generalizedinterstory drift spectrum model proposed by miranda, established a simplified modelof the Shanghai Tower based on MSC.marc, and conducted the Time history analysisunder the assumption of the rigid foundation in accordance with the code for seismicdesign of buildings. However, many studies have shown that the foundation soil isnot absolutely rigid, foundation soil can affect the upper structure, especially when thefoundation soil are soft, this effect is particularly significant, therefore consideringsoil-structure interaction effects is very necessary. In this paper, ANSYS software take time history analyses of the Shanghai Towermiranda model under the assumption of rigid foundation (hereinafter referred to as theupper structure), and the Shanghai Tower overall model considering thepile-soil-structure interaction (hereinafter referred to as the overall structure),andcompared these two engineering, thus draw some useful conclusions. In this paper, there also extracts the acceleration coupling term at the base, and bysuperimposed with the former seismic wave, obtains the modified seismic wave. Then, input the modified seismic wave to the upper structure under the assumption of rigidfoundation. Thus we can take the impact of interaction into account, and providessupport to reduce the scale of seismic calculation.
