For concentrating and flat plate photovoltaic systems, orientations, tilt angles,nonuniform of energy flow, series and parallel forms of photovoltaic arrays areimpacted on electrical performance of photovoltaic system. In order to improve theelectrical performance of the system and reduce unnecessary energy loss, on the basisof theoretical analysis, we did a research on the effects of orientations, tilt angles,nonuniform of energy flow and the series and parallel forms of photovoltaic arrays onthe electrical performance of system through a lot of experiments. And then completethe system matching respectively trough concentrating photovoltaic system and flatplate photovoltaic system, then analyzed the whole operation performance of thesystem. In particular the researches as follows:We carried out a study on the effects of orientations, tilt angles, series andparallel forms of photovoltaic arrays on the electrical properties of solar cells for theflat plate photovoltaic systems. The effects of orientations, tilt angles of photovoltaicarrays is analyzed in Kunming. Using two pieces of the same type of monocrystallinesilicon solar cell, silicon and polycrystalline silicon solar cell components, two typesof monocrystalline silicon solar cell with difference size, which connected in series,parallel combination, and then measuring their I-V characteristic curve and thecharging power for battery by experiment, finally, we obtained that the electricalperformance of parallel form are bad than the series form. Shielding the electricproperties of the monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon solar cellcomponents have a significant attenuation, deviation of the maximum power point,charging power of the battery will produce great attenuation.We carried out a study on the effects of tracking mode, series and parallel formsof photovoltaic arrays and nonuniform of energy flow on the electrical properties ofsolar cells for the trough concentrating photovoltaic system. North-South level placedis more reasonable to track the sun through theoretical analysis. When using siliconsolar cells, the maximum power reduced by24.95%for parallel form compared with the series form for the trough concentrating photovoltaic system; when using GaAssolar cells, the maximum power is reduced by16.85%.This paper studied the overall operating performance of parabolic trough powergeneration system and the flat plate photovoltaic power generation system accordingto configuring the PV array, controller, battery, inverter and load. Through the actualtest, the trough concentrating power generation system can charge and discharge forthe battery stability. The charging efficiency of it is18.66%and the total efficiency ofthe system is17.73%. The charging efficiency of flat plate photovoltaic powergeneration system is about10%, the total efficiency of the system is close to9%, thecontroller, inverter and load operating stability.
