In this paper, the use of vof method track the free surface by using the RNG k-turbulence model provided by the software Fluid, Based on the stilling basin of RenHe Reservoir project in ChuXiong city, obtained the numerical simulation calculation results corresponding to the project by using the1:100scale model, such as the pool flow patterns, temporary bottom velocity, bottom hydrodynamic pressure, exit velocity Etc. Therefore, the shaping design of stilling basin proposed on in order to reduce the effect of the highway bridge piers downstream.Stilling basin for the research emphasis of this paper is how to reduce the water flow influence on highway bridge downstream of many reservoirs, therefore the author puts forward the stilling basin size optimization design. Adopt the method of numerical simulation, the results of our analysis (out of the water flow to the role of bridge pier, etc.) is in line with the actual requirements of project. From the actual situation of the project and the research achievements of some scholars, optimization of the stilling basin size, must be from three aspects:first, the control of the stilling basin base plate pressure within a certain range (p<120pa) second, the control of the stilling basin water within a certain range velocity (v<0.6m/s) three, control of bridge pier location within a certain range of pressure and velocity (p<100pa, v<0.4m/s), in order to assure to diminish the impact of stilling basin out of the water flow to the bridge pier in cases, the stilling basin itself does not cause too much damage. So below will be taken from the three aspects, the analysis of the system optimization of stilling basin shape after the calculation result is in line with the actual requirements of project.Based on the two-dimensional calculation model, calculation of from spillway of infinite length of stilling basin and the downstream river waters, the calculation length is set to67cm, the width of the stilling basin is10cm, to study the stilling basin longitudinal axis. Calculate different stilling basin shape, water flow in upstream piers location change of flow, pressure and velocity, etc. Then the continuous optimization of the stilling basin size, see if I can reach the engineering practical requirements. Chosen in100by a flow calculation and optimization of working conditions, because of traffic per100warnings to the destruction of the engineering structure has certain significance.By calculating and analyzing the optimized size will reduce the role of the floor, while to achieve better energy dissipation rate.
