With the improving of living standards and the growing public awareness of environmental protection, domestic solar water heater has entered every family. Now, solar water heaters have become one of the fastest development and largest demand products on Chinese renewable energy market. However, the most control systems of solar water heaters on the market use micro-controller chip and simple control procedures. Such systems have many disadvantage, for examples single functions, inconvenient control, not strong anti-interference ability, and not easy to control temperature. Even if some have auxiliary heating function, it is still often appear insufficient heating or over-burning, which not only will pose a great security risk, but also waste a lot of energy.At the same time, the fuzzy control and artificial neural network that the important branch of the field of intelligent control is becoming the future development direction of the control technology. They have obvious complementary in function, which provides the conditions to mix the fuzzy control and artificial neural networks controls, and also provides a direction for solving the above problems. It is has important theoretical and practical significance for the study of complex nonlinear systems to mix the two controls the fuzzy control and artificial neural networks to constitute a fuzzy neural network.This paper reviewed the development status of solar water heaters and the research status and trends and applications of the fuzzy neural network control, elaborated the basic principles and structure of the fuzzy control system and the artificial neural networks and fuzzy neural network. According to the feature of solar water heater controls, I designed the fuzzy neural network structure which adapts to the solar water heater controls and proposed algorithm based on the SCM. According to the design requirements of the Solar water heaters control system, for the feature that the accurate mathematical model of the water heater temperature can not be established, I adopted the control algorithm of the fuzzy neural network to control it, trained the neural network by ANFIS toolbox according to the experimental data offline, wrote the program based on the C language, and then established a solar water heater control system based on STC90C52RC microcontroller. Finally, I designed the core part of the hardware and software flow control of the solar water heater system, and debugged the system to complete the design by KEIL software and PROTEUS simulation software.In this paper, I used the fuzzy neural network control system to design solar water heater design, which can provide an effective method for the controlled object that can not be established the precise mathematical model, in order to design a stable and reliable control system aimed at meeting the economic, practical, scientific conditions.
