Wind is the air quantities of horizontal movement. Wind is a vector, the size is wind speed, but also the direction is wind direction. The speed and direction change of wind is great with time and a clear paroxysmal. Wind have a huge impact on human life and production wind speed and direction as important information parameters of production environment, civil aviation, power, defense, transportation and other aspects. Wind speed and direction monitoring project has been an important part of the project test.There are many sensors to measure wind speed and direction currently, such as Pitot sensor measuring wind speed, hotline and hot-film sensor measuring wind speed and direction, ultrasonic sensor measuring wind speed and direction, as well as traditional mechanical sensors. Traditional mechanical sensors measuring wind speed and direction are the main methods for measuring wind speed and direction. It has features such as simple structure, reliability, good linearity, strong anti-wind power, fast response, high accuracy, but its anti-interference ability is poor, remote detection is inconvenient for the power plant and power supply equipment. Fiber Bragg grating as a new type of passive photonic devices, the development and application of which has been widespread concern. Its advantages are small size, light weight, low loss, ease of remote detection, easy serial multiplexing, anti-corrosion and electromagnetic interference, etc. It is widely used in production environment, aerospace and energy and chemical industry.In this paper, a wind speed and direction of fiber Bragg grating sensor is developed, using the fiber Bragg grating sensing detection technology with the traditional mechanical sensor structure. The main contents are as follows:1, Wind speed and direction of fiber Bragg grating sensors to measure wind speed and wind direction at the same time. It is based on a linear relationship theory with wind cup rotational speed and wind speed and theory with vane rotary angle and strain characteristics of the same strength cantilever.2, According to the structure of wind speed and direction sensors, design the structure size of the speed wheel, the same strength cantilever, angle wheel and direction wheel, and select its materials and machining its structure.3, According to the need of testing sensor, set up a test platform for testing the wind speed and direction sensor, and test wind speed and direction sensor actual performance.4, Through the testing of the wind speed sensor, the wind tunnel experimental results show that the starting wind speed of the wind speed sensor is0.9m/s, the coefficient of wind speed sensor is0.603.5, Through the testing of the wind speed sensor, experimental results show that the starting wind speed of the wind direction sensor is1.2m/s, the nonlinear error is7.92%FS, the sensitivity is1.47picometer/degrees, repeatability error is6.03%FS.
