Miniature missile has the advantages of smaller caliber and volume, lighter weight, shorter radius of damage, higher guidance precision, simpler structure and lower cost. Therefore, it is widely applied to different conditions of battle, such as UAV Air-to-Ground combat, Air to Air combat and the single-solider operation in the ground force or navy. In order to realize the guidance control of the weapon system under the condition of miniature structure and high precision the integrated guidance and control is proposed. In this paper, a certain miniature missile is taken as the research object. The design of the integrated guidance and control system for this kind of missile weapon has been researched as follows:Firstly, determine the design scheme of the missile system, mainly containing the external shape, aerodynamic distribution, propulsive thrust and the guidance control method. The feasibility of the design scheme is confirmed by the simulation of the non-control trajectory.Secondly, Based on the design scheme above, the integrated guidance and control model for the three-channel independent design was established according to the relation of the missile-target relative motion, aerodynamics and kinematics of the missile. Additionally the model can be transformed into a common form subsystem with unknown and bounded uncertainties. An integrated guidance and control law based on the adaptive sliding-mode control has been designed for the model.Then, the control algorithm is improved to reduce the chatter phenomenon induced by the controller. The 6DOF missile simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed integrated guidance and control algorithm. Furthermore, this method is stable and robust to guarantee the high guidance accuracy when the aerodynamic characteristics of the missile are disturbed.Finally, according to the practical requirement in engineering, The simulation result of the integrated guidance and control system is compared with the conventional system to show the good performance of the integrated guidance and control system.The integrated guidance and control controller designed in this paper has the advantages of quicker response and higher guidance accuracy. Therefore the method proposed here can provide a theoretical guidance for the manufacture of the miniature missile.
