Comparing to all kinds of AC motors, the three-phase asynchronous motors are widely used in the industry. The single-phase asynchronous motors are widely used in small appliances. Nowadays, Lots of study on three-phase asynchronous has been done. Control technology has got matured. However, there is less study on single-phase asynchronous motors. Especially in terms of flux control and torque control, this paper dose vast majority of research on flux control and torque control of the single-phase asynchronous motors. This paper presents a flux and torque estimation method on a stationary frame with spinning rotor components. Then, a kind of direct torque control(DTC) scheme of the single-phase asynchronous motors is designed in this paper. Asymmetry two-phase windings of the single-phase asynchronous motors can cause erratic running. In order to overcome this problem, an idea of voltage amplitude compensation is presented in this paper. Then, variable amplitude control scheme which is based on the direct torque control scheme is also presented in this paper. Finally, two kinds of simulation models are built with MATLAB /SIMULINK software. The control systems achieve the effect which is desired. Comparing to the simulation data, it is found that the single-phase asynchronous motor has better dynamic performance in the variable amplitude control system. And the single-phase asynchronous motor can operate steadily. The stator flux trajectory is almost round.
