In the background of energy saving, different regions of the world have promoted the higher temperature of air conditioning in summer, which need to solve the two major theme of architectural development,energy saving and thermal comfort. In general, energy conservation may sacrifice some thermal comfort, and providing comfortable indoor environment need to consume a certain amount of energy. It seems difficult to satisfy both sides. As a new method of ventilation which was proposed in recent years,stratum ventilation solves the contradiction between energy efficiency and comfort effectively. In China and other parts of Asia adopted new summer air conditioning temperatures, at such a high temperature air-conditioned office, we want to continue to maintain a comfortable indoor artificial environment and healthy air quality, which requires a reasonable form of airflow. As a way out of hot air conditioning,stratum ventilation deliver fresh air to the human body directly in the working area, and under the same conditions for thermal comfort, it can have an appropriate increase of air supply temperature, stratum ventilation can provide a chance for energy saving and indoor air environment improving, which has great application and research prospects.In order to study the impact of the indoor environment in office building under stratum ventilation in Nanjing, here established a physical and mathematical models, using RNG k- ε turbulence model for office room to study the stratum ventilation, the temperature, CO2 concentration, air age distribution, ventilation efficiency and thermal comfort issues were studied using numerical simulation method. It was compared with displacement ventilation and mix ventilation under the condition of same air temperature and ventilation displacement numbers. The results of the study shows the stratum ventilation can provide a good indoor environment under these conditions.Through the numerical simulation study of indoor environment under stratum ventilation in office room, results show that stratum ventilation which provide air supply to compliance with national and international standards can have better air quality in breathing zone, and under the same conditions of the thermal comfort and air temperatures,it can have increased the air conditioning systems to save more energy. Simulation results of this study may provide a basis and design reference in the application stratum ventilation in Nanjing.
