With the rapid development of modern industrial, the importance of accurate measurement for solids flow is becoming increasingly prominent in many areas, especially in the metallurgical and chemical production, the measurement of solid flow has practical significance for enterprise to control cost, and save energy. The application of microwave in measuring solid flow is a new technology, the method belongs to non-contact measurement, it’s advantages include compact structure, convenient installation and maintenance, fast response and so on, and it has a good prospects for industrial application.In this paper, the theoretical basis of the design of gas-solid two-phase flow measurement system is microwave method. This system consists of three parts:microwave radar, DSP and host computer, and focuses on the studied of signal processing method, then write the program of DSP and host computer. The main work is as follows:First, because TMS320F2812is rich on chip resources and its powerful ability of digital signal processing, this system implemented two functions on the DSP platform, they are signal acquisition and signal processing. DSP acquisit and correct the output signal of the Doppler radar by sampling frequency,then through the comparison of several digital filtering algorithm to choose the appropriate algorithm for signal filtering, through FFT transform we can extract the frequency and power spectrum of the signal. On the basis of Doppler principle, the velocity of material could be obtained through the signal frequency.The host-computer software of the system is programmed by C++builder, it’s main function is accomplish the communication between DSP and itself, include sending commands, parameter settings and reading data from DSP. then measure and calibrate the power spectral density mass flow, using the fitting algorithm to get the relation between material flow and power spectrum, finally, the corresponding mass flow can be calculated through this formula by using the measured power spectral density. The completion of the communication between PC and DSP in this paper rely on the USB chip CY7C68013.Finally, use this system to measure the velocity and flow of soybean and then analyze the results and deviation.
