With the strong development of micro-grid technology, which has a flexible operation mode and can access distributed power, the storage device will certainly play an important role as it is the essential component in the micro grid. The development of storage technologies and storage facilities will determine the use of new energy generation and the construction and promotion of micro-scale power grid, and the storage technologies will be more and more widely used in the power system. Now the community have been more concerned about the safety in coal mines, as we all known, coal mines will confront major accident as the power cut and it brings a direct threat to the personal and property safety of the main group. Therefore, starting the emergency power system in the case of dual power outage can greatly reduce the possibility of major accidents, which can avoid mine casualties and property losses, with great economic and social benefits, but also promote harmony and progress of society.Storage converter is a critical component of the emergency power system, which can realize the two-way conversion of energy between the grid and storage batteries. This paper, will take a new type of cascade storage converter as the research object, mainly discuss the control method and make a detailed calculation of system hardware design, and finally validate the system through simulation and experiments.First of all, this paper introduces the technology development status of storage in detail, and discusses the four kinds of storage battery:lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate battery, lithium titanate battery and lead carbon battery.Secondly, this paper introduces the topological structure and the work principle of the system, and analyses the advantages of the cascade topology structure.Thirdly, this paper discusses the control strategy of cascaded storage system and he modulation method of cascaded H-bridge, and make system modeling and simulation research by using MATLAB and PSIM simulation based on voltage and current double closed-loop control strategy of PI controller and carrier phase shifting SPWM modulation method.The simulation results show the feasibility of the control strategy.Then this paper gives the overall design of a cascade-type storage system, designs the control board and the power board, calculates the pre-charge resistor, inductor and filter capacitors and other key components, finally completes the experimental platform.Finally this paper studied the completed cascaded storage converter experimentally, tested the performance of cascaded storage converter by using experiment platform. Through the analysis of the experimental results, this paper verified the correctness of the control theory, achieved the expected requirements.
