As China’s construction machinery inventory is huge, it is of great significance to do some remanufacturing research about the common components like jib and hydraulic cylinder. It is obvious that there is some crack defect around the solid-webbed telescopic jib in the actual production process, which leads to a great hidden danger to the safety performance of jib structure. In view of the difficulties and complex of experimental study and data statistical analysis in the actual production, the paper conducts simulation study about the existing crack defects around solid-webbed telescopic jib with finite element analysis, which provides data support for remanufacturing engineering of jib. The paper mainly carried out the following work:1) The accurate establishment of simulation model for solid-webbed telescopic jib structure in-serviceAs the complex and difficulty of actual testing study for solid-webbed telescopic jib structure, the paper focuses on study of simulation way in interaction overlapping position between arm and sliders with a more accurate simulation model, in order to meet the need for scientific research and get a proper processing mode which is much more in line with the actual situation.2)The simulation establishment of in-service solid-webbed telescopic jib with some existing crackSome solid-webbed telescopic jibs have been in-service for plenty of years, which is inevitable that there are some typical types of crack in some position around jib. The chapter mainly establishes simulation model with finite element analysis software ANSYS, providing the basic environment for the assessment of its life safety state.3) The assessment of safety condition for in-service solid-webbed telescopic jib with some existing crackThe chapter mainly evaluates the safety state for existing crack on the jib under the static state based on fracture mechanics theory, to judge the safety state under some typical working conditions, some crack location, some kinds of type and a series of typical size, finally get the most dangerous crack state in various kinds of typical crack condition.4)The prediction of crack propagation remaining life for solid-webbed telescopic jib in-serviceThe chapter mainly assesses the fatigue crack growth life for the most dangerous state of existing crack in the solid-webbed telescopic jib in-service, which is based on a simulation load spectrum according to fracture mechanics and damage tolerance design theory, in service of jib remaining life prediction and provides data support for the actual remanufacturing work.5)Build parametric failure simulation analysis system for solid-webbed telescopic jib in-serviceThe chapter builds parametric failure simulation analysis system for solid-webbed telescopic jib in-service combining C# advanced programming language with ANSYS Parameter Design Language(APDL)to conduct second development, mainly aims to the existing crack of different kinds of typical positions, types and a series of sizes and contributes to the simulation study of crack for engineer.
