Nowadays, the increasingly development of Distributed Generation has become an inevitable trend, for adhering to the road of sustainable development, reducing pollution and saving energy are advocated. The introduction of Distributed Generation, which has brought about a series of impacts to the traditional distribution system, including its power supply reliability. So what this paper mainly do is to evaluate the reliability of distribution system, which contains Distributed Generation. The purpose is to research the impacts of Distributed Generation.Firstly, a hybrid method is put forward to evaluate the reliability of IEEE-RBTS BUS6 F4 system, a traditional distribution system, through a Matlab program. And the correctness of the proposed method is verified. Secondly, considering the particularities of Distributed Generation, including its model, islanding algorithm and so on. Correct this method, then use it to evaluate the power supply reliability. Finally, in order to research the different impacts, which brought about by Distributed Generation, introducing the same Distributed Generation at different positions, or introducing different types of Distributed Generation at the same position. Then quantitatively analysis based on the results of evaluation and get some corresponding conclusions.
