Safe and reliable power supply system is directly related to people’s livelihood, and now there is not a small gap between China’s power companies supply reliability and advanced foreign enterprises. Large oil-immersed transformers are power transformers, and are the most important electrical installations in power system. What’s more, the security and stability of the system is directly related to its operational reliability. From the statistics at home and abroad, the transformer accident in the substation equipment causes the longer outage time than any other devices, and its affect is very wide, its cost is high and it needs a long time to repair. In view of this reason, research scholars engaged in terms of power with particular emphasis on fault diagnosis problem of large power transformers.In this thesis, life assessment techniques and new large power transformer insulation condition are mainly discussed. On the basis of existing test methods and data collection, introducing the methods of the dielectric response for solid insulating material life issues. Carrying out the test mainly along the entity, and a feature based on the law, such as the extraction of insulation aging explore are expanded. This is for a more comprehensive assessment of the status of the transformer insulation aging status. To assess the transformer’s life, considering the existing test methods and fault information dielectric response methods, and firstly use a transformer failure analysis to determine the type of aging and damp conditions, and then implement the assessment of transformer insulation performance degradation based on multi-level information fusion and intelligent predictive technology complete life assessment software system platform.This study has important theoretical and practical significance to improve the reliability of improving the transformer operation and maintenance strategies of economic nature.
