With the development of society and economy, requirements of driving comfort, safety and convenience on the vehicle increasing, and automotive X-by-wire technology development is a way to solve these requirements. In view of the complexity of the road surface for off-road vehicle, it has a high demand for parking break, this paper presents a new electronic parking brake system with the Hill-start Assist Valve.In this paper, the development status of the pneumatic electronic parking brake system at home and abroad is analyzed, and the overall scheme of electronic parking brake system with the Hill-start Assist Valve is put forward. The hardware circuit of the electronic parking system is designed, and the structure and function of the with the Hill-start Assist Valve are designed, and the control strategy is designed, which includes the normal parking and lifting, hill-start assist and emergency braking. The performance of the brake cylinder and the manual valve is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. According to the relevant parameters of the parking brake system, the solenoid valve is selected and the experimental verification is carried out. The control method of PWM for the control valve of the parking control valve is presented in order to adjust the aeration rate. Analysis of the force of the vehicle at the beginning of the ramp, and the reasons for the starting delay of the vehicle are analyzed. In the AMEsim, the simplified model of the electronic parking system is established, and the simulation and experimental analysis of the starting process are carried out. PID control method is proposed to adjust the charging process of the spring brake cylinder. The PID control model of the electronic parking system is established and the simulation analysis is carried out.The experimental platform was set up and the experimental vehicle was modified. The feasibility of the software and hardware and control strategy of the electronic parking brake system of the electronic parking brake system was verified by experiments.
