With development of vehicle technique, the regulatory requirement of brake safety is stricter and stricter in domestic and abroad. People not only focus on Brake efficiency, but also pay more attention to the studies of brake division and the regulatory compliance. Based on regulatory requirement of brake division, the article analyzes the reasonabilities of vehicle brake division and the LSV matching methodology on light truck. Based on the LSV characteristic and vehicle leaf spring performance, it gains the static characteristic curve of LSV on the vehicle. Meantime, through analysis of the load transfer and suspension variation caused by pitching during braking, it simulates the LSV dynamic performance by computer simulation. According to the requirement of brake division, match of brake division curve, the relationship between brake force and pressure, it gets the brake pressure division curve (the required LSV dynamic performance curve). Based on the designed performance curve of LSV, through the calibration test on vehicle, it finds the last matching proposal.First, based on the structure characteristic of LSV, combination with required LSV performance parameter, it analyses the designing methodology of LSV structure parameter. Based on the LSV characteristic parameter, combination with leaf spring parameter, it gains the related curve between vehicle rear loads and LSV knee point (the lsv static characteristic on the vehicle). Through analysis of the load transfer and suspension variation caused by pitching during braking, it simulates the LSV dynamic performance by computer simulation.Meantime, it introduces the bench confirmation test of LSV, elaborates the necessarity and related assessment criteria of each item, in order to provide the route to production.Second, based on theory analysis of three situation (the front axle locked firstly, rear axle locked and the two axle locked meantime), it concludes that only front axle locked firstly is the steady situation. through the brake division force curve Ⅰ and β, it defines the needed actual curve β,according to the relationship between the brake force and brake pressure, it gains the brake pressure division curve (the dynamic performance curve of LSV). According to the relationship between the dynamic curve and static curve, it gains the required static curve.At last, Based on the theory design value of LSV, it introduces the LSV calibration methodology on the vehicle. It verifies the brake division rationalities on 5 actions (including fast brake, slow brake and so on) with two situation (unloaded and loaded)...
