Due to the high speed,the deterministic, and the real-time characteristics of FlexRay bus, it is regarded as the future of on-board network bus. In the same way, it can be applied to missile communication system to meet its needs. To improve the network communication performance, this paper discusses the FlexRay bus network bandwidth utilization and clock synchronization. This research has its certain theoretical and engineering value.First of all,we consider the static and dynamic segment,calculate FlexRay bus bandwidth utilization, and provide the calculation formula in the multiple FlexRay cycle. On this basis,we respectively discusse the change of bus bandwidth utilization with the static nodes and the dynamic nodes.Secondly, we study clock synchronization process of the FlexRay bus. In order to solve the estimation error of coding correction and delay compensation In the time measurement process of calculating the deviation, we introduce the precision clock synchronization algorithm based on the PTP protocol. Through the simulation results, we find that the algorithm can not only eliminate the estimation error, but also improve the precision of clock synchronization.Finally, we use a hardware implementation scheme,design of software system and miniaturization design to set up a platform of FlexRay communication network. On this platform, we designe the bandwidth and clock synchronization experiments, and have got the satisfactory results.
