| In the thesis, two representatives of the Tensegrity Structure桟able Dome and Georgia Dome are computed and analyzed in a relatively detailed manner. Structural characteristics and design methods of Tensegrity structures are summarized. On such basis, several new structural schemes of Tensegrity Structures in circular and elliptical plan are designed. In addition, structural characteristics of Tensegrity unit structures are studied and structural schemes composed of unit structures are designed. The structural schemes studied in the thesis are all feasible and practical for use, and the property of each scheme has its own features. The designs provide some beneficial experiences and references for the design of Tensegrity Structures. Two general-purpose programs SAP91 and AutoCAD2000 are used to compile the preprocessor and postprocessor programs for Tensegrity Structure. The whole analytical procedures: structure model ata files omputing and analysis ? result files?force and displacement figures, are all computerized. This highly raises the efficiency of the work. |
